The Best Care at TMS Health Solutions

Depression comes in different forms of severity, temporary, mild and major or severe. It is characterized by a lingering feeling of being hopeless, which makes it very difficult for the afflicted individual to sleep, eat, enjoy pleasurable things, work, and study. Clinical depression – the most severe type of depression can affect people with no history of the said disorder, but most often it passes on from generations within a family.

Sadness is different from depression because feelings of sadness due to some unfortunate circumstances in life like the death of a loved one, losing a job, family problems or financial issues usually pass on and people move on. But clinical depression is different because no matter what the person does or what others may do for the person who has depression the feelings of being low without any actual reason persists incessantly.

To know if an individual is indeed suffering from clinical depression psychiatric doctors used the DSM-5 or Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to determine a case and to be able to come up with a diagnosis and make a prognosis.

The following are some symptoms and signs of clinical depression:

  • Has a difficulty in thinking coherent thoughts and concentrating.
  • Restless, agitated and anxious
  • Unexplained slowness like thinking and speaking.
  • Loss of weight because the person is unable to eat.
  • Weight gain because food cravings have increased.
  • Feelings of being worthless and cannot forget past failures.
  • Lacks energy and is often tired that minute movements or tasks need more effort.
  • Insomnia or the inability to sleep
  • Constant feelings of sadness which occurs for most hours of the day every day.
  • Recurrent thoughts of death or suicide.
  • Contemplates self-inflicted harm.
  • Irritability, frustration and angry outbursts over little matters.
  • Unexplained loss of interest for activities that gives pleasure and contentment (hobbies, watching movies, etc.)

Symptoms which are manifested by individuals affected by clinical depression are very noticeable and must be dealt with appropriately. Another Success at USHealth Group

Long before his blockbuster career in insurance sales at USHealth Group, Randy’s dream was to be a major league pitcher. His idol was Nolan Ryan. But Randy blew out his shoulder his senior year. After surgery, he made the team at Blinn College, but his blown-out shoulder couldn’t take the stress of 92-mph pitches anymore. So instead of baseball, he switched his focus to business and graduated from A&M.

Fresh out of college, Randy was snapped up by a recruiter named Connie and thrown head-first, reluctantly, into the world of insurance sales. For the next six months, Randy drove 200 miles each Monday morning to a mandatory meeting. “I still really had no idea what we were selling, how we marketed and what I was doing.”

Randy was about to throw in the towel. He decided to study the high performers in his division and figure out what they were doing to pull out huge numbers every quarter. He asked one to be his mentor. Check this article at to know more about USHealth Group

He spent twelve months dedicated to his mentor doing meetings together and learning how insurance sales are done. He learned to be more than just an insurance salesperson. He learned to protect families and lives for USHealth Group.

Eventually, with the advice of his friends, Randy switched to USHealth Advisors, where today he is a Satellite Division Leader.

Today, Randy is throwing solid pitches for his clients and doing the right thing. He is a leader and top producer at USHealth Group every quarter. He’s married and a father. He lives by the USHealth Group Advisors’ mission of Helping Other People Everyday. See more updates on Twitter

Dr. Holterman’s wife, Ai-Xuan Holterman, is from Vietnam, and on a 2007 trip to her former country, the couple visited Ho Chi Minh City where they toured the local children’s hospital.

The Holtermans were reportedly distressed at the overcrowding conditions often preventing individual patients from being properly cared for. They found many times family members were partial caregivers, staying (of necessity) with patients, which was causing concern in multiple areas.

These findings were the impetus for the Holtermans and the chief surgeon of the Ho Chi Minh City children’s hospital to collaborate on the creation of the International Pediatric Specialists Alliance for the Children of Vietnam (IPSAC-VN.

As a result, IPSAC-VN is an American nonprofit teaming U.S. medical professionals with their Vietnamese counterparts. The organizational goal is to improve all hospital functions to reduce infections through newer procedures, training, and equipment.
