still i have identified a suitable space for a sloping (mini )G5RV of about 25 feet I hope that works if not I will go mobile hope to meet on the bands sometime once I have passed 73 kind regards Adrian -

Oh yes, I know, you’re hoping for doomsday when everything else fails with the exception of ham radio. Personally, when/if this happens, my interest is staying alive not passing on some little “welfare message”..when it all gets back in order, I’ll use my cell phone again….simple as that.

October 13th, 2008 at 1:42 pmYou’ve never met a polite yank on the ham bands… judging by your tone here you probably don’t come over too polite either and it seems you pre-judge the yanks. I was on 80 meters last night and heard dozens of polite yanks, but then the people doing the CQ were polite too. You get what you give, try it some time.

I have been enjoying this hobby “Playing Radio” for 36 years and look forward to doing it for another 36. If you have a small station or a World Class DX Station the thrill is the same. CQ CQ Working 432mhz - 160m.
