the person that is singing this song is Jacques sauveur jean and in opinion i think he sounds better than Francis Cabrel I never heard a remake sounds better

@hairepy This is a song by Francis Cabrel originally. If you look on youtube for ” Je l aime à mourir “, you should find a link.

It was simone bolivia (i think i spelled his name wrong) that came to haiti to ask Alexandra Petion for help and we went and not only financially aided but fought along side venzuela, after the defeat…the venzuelan flag was made in Jacmel Haiti, Venzuela has been very supportive thank you Prez. Cavez for acknowledging this during you speech in haiti. My prayers go out to you Ayiti cherie and to all the country that has stood beside us during this difficult time.

I like this vid…i agree we are proud people,Why are we a proud people despite the poverty, because we are rich in history and culture, HAITI was not only the first black republic but Haiti support and made possible the independence for Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama and Peru from Spain. They did this on one condition: Free any enslaved person in those countries, we also set the moitions for the lousiana purchase.we the people of the diaspora need to be an active part in rebuilding haiti

Thats not true…Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the western hemisphere, while nigeria, senegal and kenya seems to be doing o.k. There is poverty in cuba and Dom Rep, and DR has been doing better bc of tourism (which I am happy for them) Puerto Rico would have been a poor country too ,but its a common wealth of USA, if u look up south America there’s a lot of countries that need help right now. Bc some poeple are so full of hatred for this small island and the color fo the people.

haiti had a debt of billions of dollars from france for taking back their freedom this was the only country that this was done to. Haiti is taking action, like bill clinton said on cnn, the haitians of the diasopra are successful people…although they make 1% of the people of color in the united states(including latinos). they make 10% of the doctors period in the united states..and the just doctors, we did not include lawyers etc, haiti does not need hate right now,

well then lets give your country the education needed. lets rebuild your beautiful country.

We as haitians have taken action but putting our all into someone that doesn’t care about growing the country. You have to understand that you are working with a country where most of the people can not read and write

    May 18th, 2010 9:12 am

yea but our people in DR had the same problems, we united together to defeat the government we don’t talk and talk and complain we also take action!

Simply answer! Government. It has always been the government when i came it comes to haiti.
