Elysium Health: The Blue Pill that Could Change Lives

Elysium Health under the leadership of MIT biologist Leonard Guarente broadcasted that it will work to convert chemicals that increase mice and worms lifespan in the laboratory into an OTC vitamin pill that individuals can ingest to hopefully receive similar effects.

According to Dr. Guarantee, it is difficult to prove the workings of the new drug within a reasonable time frame as such test could take many years. For this reason, the biologist has decided to use an alternative route of wrapping the pioneering lab research into nutraceuticals since they do not require any clinical testing or approval by FDA.

The blue pill created by Elysium Health is known as ‘Basis.’ The pill contains the chemical nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), a compound that is allegedly used up by cells to perform metabolic functions such as the release of energy from glucose. The compound is presumed to bring on similar effects to a diet that is short on calories- a proven mechanism to increase a mouse life’s span.

This new approach by biologist Guarente has never been previously used before in the industry, and the doctor plans on marketing the molecules to be used as dietary supplements after which he will follow up with the clients over time to see how they function.

Elysium decided to sell its pill only on its website and conducted its marketing on social media. By December 2016, Basis was priced at $50 per month or a $60 one-time purchase while the two active ingredients could be bought separately at $25.

Elysium Health partnered with several leading scientists, medical practitioners, and clinicians including prominent scientists to ensure that it develops the original and promising natural compound.

Karplus, a lecturer at Harvard, in a telephone interview explained that he was turning 85 and that he was interested in trying Basis as soon as it is ready. Dr. Guarente, who is 62, also takes the pill daily along with a 25 mg of resveratrol and the red-wine compound. Moreover, the biologist also exercises even though not consistently as he would like.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1AIrm58m10

Leonard Guarente is not troubled by the fact that there still no apparent gains resulting from the intake of this supplement as it will likely take time to reveal any real benefits.

About Elysium Health

Elysium Health is a biotechnology firm with its headquarters in New York and was established in 2014 by MIT biologist Leonard Guarente alongside Eric Marcotuli who is the company’s CEO and Dan Alminana, the Chief Operating Officer. In 2015, Elysium began retailing Basis as a dietary supplement as it contained Nicotinamide riboside and pterostilbene in one capsule. According to the firm, the two supplements assisted in making nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) that may have  helped some cellular processes.

By December 2016, Elysium had managed to raise $26.2 million from its investors such as General catalyst and Robert Nelson of ARCH Venture Partners. For more inquiries about basis contact Elysium on (888)220-6436, M-F or visit their website at elysiumhealth.com.
