    You are correct in the fact that it is Michael Lopez-Alegria, ISS Expedition 14 commander.

    when the space station is flying over its only a matter of minutes to talk to them, but man it would be awsome to talk to these guys

    IT Was expedition 14 and it was either

    Michael Lopez-Alegria ISS Commander - NASA
    Mikhail Tyurin ISS Flight Engineer - RSA
    Thomas Reiter ISS Flight Engineer - ESA

    but sounds like Michael lopez-algeria.. so congrats you have talked to an iss commander =]
