I do agree with you. In my opinion, the US government is the most corrupt First World democracy on the planet. Hell, you can’t even be elected to any political office without support from a well funded lobby group or business.
I know politicials in other democracies can and are allowed to accept campaign donations, but there are limits on how much they accept. It’s a check and balance that doesn’t exist in the US, and the people have been paying for it for years now.

Panicing is not for “socializing” the economy. Its obviously to “capitalize” the economy. The perfect consumer buys whatever he’s been told to buy. The “government” is the people. Probably not in the USA, since there the “government” is a marketing agency of the corporations. But in normal democracies, the government is nothing bad. Its the people. And cant see anything problematic about people. The corporations are the problem. For them, people are a vehicle to get rich.

yeah and 6 months later, we have 4 pediatric deaths just in ohio from kids that had the symptoms of the swine flu… i dont think he should be telling people what they want to hear for his election in 2012. it is a scary thing! i’m scared for my young nieces and nephews and all of my family!

I’ve probably *had* swine flu. I live in Thornbury, Melbourne, Australia which – if you check the news reports – was pretty much the Australian epicentre of Swine flue for a while.
I had the flu a few months back and later read a government report stating that 95%+ of people who presented at hostpital with flu-like symptoms durring that period were found to have swine flu.
It was nothing, a non-event. I put myself in “quarentene” for a week or so and that was it. No big deal.

I understand your position. But, if I were a parent I would want my child to be vaccinated against a potentially life threatening, but easily preventable illness.
The fact that it would be administered via the public school system is a bonus. Just one less headache for me as a parent.
All in all, I would think that a parent would place the welfare of their child ahead of the safety of their individual freedom.
