Hurricane Ike – Florida Keys – September 8-9, 2008

During the first week of September, 2008 Hurricane Ike tore through the islands of Turks & Caicos and Great Inagua as a category four, with sustained winds of 135mph, before making landfall on the north coast of Cuba as a strong category three, with 120mph winds. Hurricane Ike Retrospective: Damage and Aftermath

On September 12, 2008, Houston/Galveston and the Texas Gulf Coast were hit with catastrophic force by a Category 2 storm, Hurricane Ike. We created this slide show with the hope that it would inspire viewers to donate to disaster relief efforts in the Texas Gulf Coast area.
