Video of hurricane Alex raging across Texas, Mexico coasts

Hurricane Alex causes landfall as it reaches northeastern Mexico. The Category two storm has been whipping up winds of 155 kilometres per hour. Earlier a state of emergency had been declared in Texas where thousands of people were forced to flee from coastal homes. The storm is far from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, but cleanup operations have been halted.

Video of severe flood in Monterrey as Hurricane Alex hits Mexico

Hurricane Alex has hit northern Mexico, wreaking havoc and paralyzing the major city of Monterrey. At least two people were killed as the dry Santa Catarina river roared to life and highways turned into rushing streams. The hurricane weakened to a tropical storm as it moved west, but it still caused major problems, with high winds and torrential rain.

Hurricane Ike – Florida Keys – September 8-9, 2008

During the first week of September, 2008 Hurricane Ike tore through the islands of Turks & Caicos and Great Inagua as a category four, with sustained winds of 135mph, before making landfall on the north coast of Cuba as a strong category three, with 120mph winds.
