Newsweek placed Dr. Andrew Jacono third on its 2025 list of the best facelift surgeons in America. The ranking adds to a long run of honors for the dual board-certified facial plastic surgeon, who practices in Manhattan and Great Neck.
A Record of Recognition
Harper’s Bazaar has named him one of the 24 best plastic surgeons in the country. He also received the Most Compassionate Doctor Award each year from 2012 to 2022. According to a January 2026 profile, fewer than 3% of physicians earn that award.
Media coverage has followed his surgical work. Town & Country highlighted his approach, noting that patients “look like refreshed versions of themselves” after treatment. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs disclosed in 2021 that Dr. Andrew Jacono performed his facelift, and plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif chose him for his own deep-plane procedure.
What Earned the Attention
Much of the acclaim traces to the Minimal Access Deep-Plane Extended (MADE) facelift, which he developed in the early 2000s. The technique repositions skin, muscle, and fat together instead of simply drawing the skin taut. Results can last 12 to 15 years.
His credentials support the accolades. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1996, trained in Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and completed an accredited fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He now teaches at Einstein as an Associate Clinical Professor and has written more than 70 peer-reviewed articles.
Rankings tend to measure technical results, but Dr. Andrew Jacono’s compassion award points to something else. Through humanitarian programs, he has operated on more than 750 children with facial deformities and over 100 domestic violence survivors. That reconstructive work was chronicled in Facing Trauma on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Taken together, the honors describe two sides of a single career. Dr. Andrew Jacono has earned praise both for refined cosmetic results and for the care he extends to patients who need reconstruction most. Refer to this article for related information.
